Why Not?

I am by no means a tech savvy person- that honor belongs with my husband, Aaron. However, as I was reading my friend Justine's blog, I decided "why not?" I seem to have a lot of opinions and I am up for a new experience. So here I am, writing my first blog.

My husband and I just moved to Illinois from Nebraska on January 1st. I know, what better way to start the new year but to move away from the only place you've ever lived with your husband and 3 month old. Crazy, right? Well, call us loco but we knew it was where we are supposed to be. The past few weeks have been spent under a mountain of boxes. My husband does refer to me as the "unpacking nazi" but I might have to relinquish my title this time since my home is still not completely unpacked. I will say I am 98% done, but unpacking with an active 3 month old is no picnic. Thank goodness for the colorful gym, bumbo, and that annoying baby music that plays over and over on the swing. I did end up investing in the Baby Bjorn organic baby carrier which has been a lifesaver! All new moms should invest in a wrap (like the maya wrap) when they are newborns and a baby carrier when they are a little bit older. We chose the Baby Bjorn carrier because Aiden could face outward, whereas with the Ergo carrier the baby can only face toward you or go on your back. Aiden loves helping mommy around the house!

Being a mother has been a missing piece of the puzzle in my life. Aiden is a joy that Aaron and I never knew existed. We are thankful for him everyday. I look forward to sharing more of this mommy's new adventures with you all.
